In the fall of 2019, the Business Roundtable - the association of CEOs of America’s largest firms - clearly defined the purpose of a corporation to be more than just profit. Creating value for communities and the environment is just as important as creating value for shareholders.

Unfortunately, most companies that WANT to create social and environmental value while generating economic value are not organized to do so efficiently. Converting an existing strategy map - or building a new one - that explicitly shows where social, environmental, and economic value are created can make this noble idea real.

Intrapreneurship

Intrapreneurship is important to do, but hard to get done. A recent McKinsey study revealed that 84% of global executives said innovation was highly important to growth strategies, but 94% of them were dissatisfied with their firms’ innovation performance.
